WELCOME TO THOUGHTWRITING

Like to write?

If you landed here, I'm betting that you like to write.  Or you like to think.  Maybe you're on a personal journey of discovery.  Perhaps you seek change.  Or you may be waking up to the power you have in directing your life.  Or you already know you are the master of your own destiny.  If this sounds like you, keep scrolling.

Join your inner conversation.

We all have a constant conversation going on in our heads.  A steady stream of thoughts, opinions, hopes, fears, judgments, programs.  Some are just beneath the surface, some top of mind, some deep within the subconscious.  Most people aren't paying attention - in fact, most people are completely unaware of it, essentially running on autopilot, driven by thoughts, decisions and beliefs they themselves created years ago.  Thoughtwriting is a way to begin listening to what is being said from yourself to yourself day in and day out.  It's a way to become more aware of what drives you and what stops you, why that chatter is there and what you can do about it, by consciously listening to and joining in on your inner conversation.  And it begins with pen and paper.

Thoughtwriting is not creative writing.

Well, actually it is.  While it isn't about writing stories, it is about writing your story.  It's about writing the story that has been developing in your mind and directing your life.  While it isn't about writing fiction or non-fiction, it is about writing out the fiction and non-fiction going on in your head.  It is both a means to get the story from your head out on paper, and a way of rewriting your story from paper and into your head.  Thoughtwriting won't make you a better writer, but it can make you a better lifer.  In a way it is the most creative writing you can do, as it can help you literally create your life the way you want it to go.

You are your audience here.

With Thoughtwriting you are both author and audience.  You are a researcher of your own history and the director of your own play.  Thoughtwriting is writing that is completely targeted within.  It is part self discovery, part intentional creation.  If you've ever kept a diary or journal then you have an idea of what your audience is with Thoughtwriting.  If you've ever used your writing to create real, lasting change in your thought patterns and behavior, to examine your beliefs or to set and reach goals, then you have a pretty good idea of what Thoughtwriting is.

Writing with a point to it.

And the point is your life.  Imagine what your life could look like if you were aware of your inner conversation.  Imagine if you were able to shape and direct your beliefs and thoughts in an intentional way.  The truth is you already are the captain of your soul and the master of your destiny, but you have forgotten most of the decisions and reasons behind the beliefs that you created that are directing your behaviors and habits today.  And you may feel powerless about how your life is going.  You may doubt that you really have any control at all in your life, but the irony is that you are 100% in control and responsible for your life, but if you believe you aren't, then it looks like you're not.  The truth is your life is a reflection of your beliefs.  So the point of Thoughtwriting is to be aware of this hidden truth within all of us, to erase beliefs that you are at effect and convince you that you are the cause.
